After the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Mengert launched a business and a career in property and community association management. Mengert has shared his association management experience and expertise for 30 years as a member of the national faculty of CAI, which provides the most comprehensive education courses for community managers. He also has lent his business savvy and time to other organizations, including charities, businesses, and the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, manages the Greensboro’s Piedmont International Airport, where he has served as a Director and Treasurer.
