Raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Paul Mengert, in both his professional and personal lives, is also seeking ways to help people succeed. Many of his own successes have centered around Greensboro. He studied at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro where he majored in political science and communications. In 1985, he founded Association Management Group (AMG), a professional community association management company, also in Greensboro. Mengert earned a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) certification from the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and later completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program, an intensive course for business leaders.

Paul Mengert enjoys sharing the knowledge and expertise he has gained to help clients and others successfully pursue their professional dreams. He always seeks to foster an environment of professionalism and learning. With Mengert’s encouragement, many AMG staff have completed the rigorous curriculum to achieve CAI’s (Community Associations Institute) impressive designations, including: PCAM status (Professional Community Association Manager) as well as the rigorous AMS (Association Management Specialist) and CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) designations.

AMG employees then share their expertise with leadership of client community organizations by developing educational materials such as a handbook for executive board members, providing group educational sessions and one-on-one guidance, for example. All these steps work toward Mengert’s vision for AMG – helping client associations create healthy, happy communities.
